Morpheus Cycles' commitment to excellence in the gravity scene has been amplified. In 2012, with the creation of a top tier FMB focused Slope Style team - the sky is the limit. Joining Anthony Messere and Mitch Chubey, Morpheus is proud to announce the welcoming of two additional weapons in their arsenal. Bring out the dogs.
Casey Groves:As a longtime friend of the team and a pure beast on a bike, it was only a matter of time before Casey Groves became an official Morpheus factory team rider. Casey's credentials are undeniable and he's proven himself over and over again. He has a resume longer than the travel on your DH bike and he is a top 10 rider on the world tour in 2010, a podium finisher at Crankworx Whistler, and a star in several feature films. Due to an injury last year Casey was unable to live up to his known potential, but now he is back to mint condition and ready to take on the freeride world. With training underway while many riders rest during the winter, Casey is committed to ensure he is up to compete against and with the best of the best. Check out this exclusive video showcasing Casey on his Morpheus Skyla.
Video and Photos by Matt ButterworthBrayden Barrett-Hay:Brayden is one of those unique riders that is coming up so fast, most people have never heard of him, but that won’t last long. Brayden has the potential to be a future innovator in the sport of Slope Style. 2011 was Brayden's rookie season and he has already shown some amazing potential with a 12th place finish at Claymore Challenge and a third-place best trick at Andrew Taylor’s showdown. With Morpheus factory team support, a new fleet of top-notch bikes, and some of the best riders in the world to train with, Brayden's upcoming season is looking very bright. We threw together a little edit of Brayden shredding at indoor park “Joyride 150” on his new Skyla, preparing himself for the FMB world tour.
Video by Ben Janacek and photos by Steve Hayes More of a good thing: Anthony Messere and Mitch Chubey. The gnarly duo is back again for 2012. With consistent results on the 2011 FMB world tour Mitch and Anthony are back to lead the Morpheus Factory Slope Style team. Last year Mitch and his all-around experience proved to be invaluable in achieving top 10 results at virtually every event there was. Always a major podium threat, Mitch took 1st at Upside-Down Underground, 3rd-place at Jumpship Contest, and a 5th place finish at Claymore Challenge. Anthony truly had an unbelievable breakout season and used all of his resources including the experience of his teammate Mitch. In 2011, Anthony Messere forever changed the sport by upping the ante significantly with some new tricks, becoming the youngest competitor ever to podium at Crankworx Whistler, landing the first-ever, in-competition front flip off of a flat drop, and nail double back flips like nobody's business. As the fourth ranked rider in the world, Anthony has solidified his position as a future and current legend in this industry. Check out this exclusive video of Mitch and Anthony at Redbull district showing what they do best.
